About the Author, Doug Woodward
Known in the southern U.S. kayaking scene as one of its "Founding Fathers," Doug Woodward has been running rivers for nearly fifty years — as an instructor and companion to many boaters, a boat-builder, a founder of Southeastern Expeditions guide service, and an advocate for paddlers and our rivers.
Wherever Waters Flow, reveals Doug's abiding love of rivers, one of the major threads running through his life. He pursues, however, other parallel dimensions, many of which have been as intense and enduring as whitewater paddling — defender of social justice, self-education (homeschooling) advocate, family homestead creator, wilderness educator for children, design engineer for Western Electric, and writer and photographer for Alaska, Mariah (Outside), Canoe, Paddler and many other publications in the United States, Great Britain and Germany.
